Takeshi Nakazawa, a Japanese cryptid researcher, was introduced by someone to a cryptid called Kanibanbani （カニバンバニ）, which is 2 meters tall and has the head of a crab and the body of a dog. The person who made this introduction offered Nakazawa to investigate cryptids with him, but this person was actually a recruiter for a new cult, and Nakazawa was taken to the cult's base. Nakazawa realized this fact and fled the place.
Kanibambani is a cryptid known only from this brief episode, and it is doubtful that it is the cryptid actually witnessed, in that the nascent cult used it to deceive Nakazawa.
