Mangarsahoc, Mangarisoaka, or Tokatongotra is a donkey-like animal with long ears and round hooves like a horses. Its distribution ranged from Ankaizina Mountains; Bealanana and Manirenja Districts in the north-central highlands and north of Tôlagnaro in southeastern Madagascar.
Possible Explanation[]
- Surviving Malagasy pygmy hippopotamuses (Hippopotamus lemerlei and H.madagascariensis) that supposedly died off within the past 1,000 years or so.
- Unknown wild donkey indigenous to Madagascar.
